My Son's Politically Correct Teacher :(

My sons 8th grade class was to make a campaign poster for themselfs as canidates for a class project. Well my son made one and he had vote for Michael and our last name and then had If you love our nation Stop Illegal Immagration. His teacher will not put his poster on the wall aith the others she told him that it was to contraversal and there are illegal kids that goes to the school and it would be the same as telling them to go hme.
She then proceeded to tell him the only reason they come over her is because the government of their country are corrupt and they just want to better themselves. That it cost lots of money for them to come over here and the two men running for president of the US both have great plans that will make it much easier for them to come over here.

I am so freaking mad :evil: and if you say anything to the schol or call the school board they don't give a rats butt and just hang up on you . I am so tired of this crap this is so against my sons freedom of speech and I want to do something just don't know what.

Anyways I have to go take my daughter to the eye doctors so be back later to see what all of you think . arrrrrggggggg :evil:

I would call the media about this teacher violating his freedom of speech.

My daughter had a similar incident in middle school, I called the school and raised hell. Got the standard "came here for a better life" crap and I shut them down quick.

I told them BS! if they came for a better life, they should have done so LEGALLY like I did. "Come for a better life" does not begin by committing a criminal act! Also told them illegal immigration was a slap in MY face and offended me personally, along with others who came legally.

Schools rarely hear the side of LEGAL immigrants, they like to bundle both legal and illegal immigration together and that's bogus! In defence of legal immigrants, many are hesitant to speak publicly for fear of retaliation from the illegal criminals.

I'm in a constant state of depression knowing our government supports and even encourages breaking our laws....It's obvious the government supports this criminal activity because they won't stiop it. :x It's a helpless feeling knowing our politicians are on the wrong side of the law in this country... I feel like this is a form of terrorism on the American people. We all know its wrong, but there is nothing we can do about it! :evil: It breaks my heart, our children deserve better!

Contact ALL of your local news outlets immedietly.

Well My husband will be calling the school tomorrow and I am going to look into calling & emailing the local media around here. I don't think it will do any good but I will try. Tell your son's teacher about the thousands of teachers being laid off in California due to our illegal alien induced budget deficit. Then tell her many of the California teachers keeping their jobs are immigrants, while the majority of those being laid off are native born Americans.

Would she give up her job to an "immigrant"?

Patrioticsandra, I REALLY feel for you. I have three kids, 25, 15, and 11. In all stages we encountered this same kind of bull, and finally, when the middle one was in fifth grade ,we pulled he and his 5 year old sister out to homeschool, This is a tough way to do it, but boy do they get all the freedom they want to speak their minds and are even involved in really good civics lessons (WE staged our own rally against illegal immigration in downtown Portland!!).

Check into charter schools and also some private ones that might have scholarships that would enable your kids to go (usually based on income and likely could cover ALL). As well, please stand up to the teachers and school. Make a HUGE stink, this is the one thing that will make them back down as the media would be willing to hear this story and who wants to be known as the school/teacher that basically told a kid he could not have freedom to speak out? I would be all over it, and then some (and with me, I usually am, especially when it comes to my kids and the issue of placing illegal aliens or their anchor babies feelings above my kids freedom of speech).

I don't have any suggestions that are any better than what has already been said, but I DO hope you see this as your Golden Oppurtunity to raise some h#ll about this. It's almost like you had it dropped in your lap. Will your husband support you making a big stink about this? It's important that he does...Keep us updated! We are behind you 100%.

If the shoe were on the other foot and an illegal kid's "freedom of speech" wasn't being allowed what do you think would happen? It would be National news!

The door has been opened for you. This is a perfect opportunity to stand up publicly and loudly for your rights and the rights of your child. If the schools don't want to hear different ideas, perhaps they should stick to reading writing and arithmetic and stay out of politics. Or rather, if they are going to politic in your son's classroom they had better be prepared for something different than the ultra-liberal ideas they are pushing on our children.

My Brazilian friend was NEVER politically correct and was UNPOPULAR as a Dallas, TX, elementary school teacher some years ago!

I suggest you write up an article, include the nameof the school and the teacher's name, along with the school's contact info, then send it to every single political blog you come across (SaveShenandoah.com, papundits.com, diggersrealm.com, illegalprotest.com, etc) and spread the word through the net. Ask everyone to call the school and demand this child's rights be recognized.

There are way too many liberals in the education system who think they are the only ones who have the right to express their beliefs. Maybe you should write a letter to the teacher about Jamiel Shaw, Rodney Johnson, Amy Kortlang, and the Bolongna family describing how their brutal deaths came at the hands of politicians protecting illegal immigrants. You should tell her about the many young Americans who struggle to pay for college while illegals get freebies. Give the teacher and the school hell Americans shouldn't have to bow down to pro illegal supporters.

I find I can notify a lot of local people about things I run across by writing a letter to the editor in the local newspaper and by naming names and organizations. It's especially effective if your local paper has a comments capability. Also, letters to the local elected officials do a lot to bring sunlight to what's going on and tends to stop them from letting more of the same go on. It's very true that the squeeky wheel gets the grease. We just have to learn how to be more squeeky. Use every opportunity that presents itself.
